It is absolutely beautiful weather here in California! I have today through Monday off for our national holiday before I start working EVERY night through the months of July and August. So we decided to go out and enjoy the weather with the top down.
Drivin' down Pacific Coast Highway through Huntington Beach, CA.
The crowds enjoying the warm weather and the beach.
Our little dog enjoying the ride.
Enjoying the wind in my face on this warm, sunny day.
And this is how I look enjoying it.
With some fun vintage earrings and a great vintage necklace to match.
Some comfy shoes in case we get out and do some walkin'.
This is the top I made and posted about here.
The whole thing...the shorts I made as well from Simplicty 3879.
Now to relax of the couch and dream more about days out in the California sun...
Hi Reagan! Thanks for following my blog and the lovely comment you left on my skirt post :) You're blog is great, so I'm following you now too! I love your style, and that top that you made is beautiful, it really suits you! You look like a Hollywood Starlet :)

Super cute outfit!
ReplyDeleteNew blog follower here! I love that outfit on you and the way you accessorized it. You are too cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting a link to the pattern for that top. Very cute! Do you think a beginner like me could sew one up? I've only sewn things that didn't require a pattern (bags, wallets, pillows, etc). Sewing patterns intimidate me, but I would love to learn how to tackle them! I've slowly been collecting vintage patterns and can't wait to put them to use. :)
BTW, I also have those wedges, in tan and black. They are super comfy and cute. Love them!
Thank you Crafty Doll!
ReplyDeleteI think you should try the pattern...its well worth the satisfaction of completing something new! When making this pattern you should make sure you do your darts right, I'm sure if you searched the internet you could get great advice on doing them. And then just be careful when attaching the collar piece to the bust section...if you take it slow it shouldn't be too hard. I think the directions are easy enough to follow for a beginner sewer. Plus if you had any questions you could ask me or the originator of the pattern. I wish you lots of luck!! Let me know how it turns out for you if you try it.
That top is fabulous!!
